Abstract

From 82 national CPI monitoring cities, 65 cities experienced inflation and 17 deflationary cities. The highest inflation occurred in Tual (1.88 percent) and the highest deflation in Pangkal Pinang (0.99 percent).
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya (0.26 percent) and Sampit (0.70 percent) occurred. Both cities are ranked the 37th and 11th cities of highest inflation at the national level.
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya was mainly influenced by increases in the price index in the food category (0.55 percent), clothing (0.55 percent), and health (0.47 percent).
  • Inflation in Sampit was mainly influenced by rising price indexes in transportation, communication and financial services (1.45 percent) and foodstuff (1.38 percent).
  • Kalimantan Tengah province, combined with Palangka Raya and Sampit, inflation (0.42 per cent) followed by year-on-year inflation rate (1.71 per cent) and year-on-year inflation (2.62 per cent).
  • The share of government price policy on inflation in Palangka Raya (0.06 percent) was lower than in Sampit (0.32 percent).
