Abstract

Among the 82 national CPI monitoring cities, 57 cities experienced inflation and 25 deflationary cities. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura (2.10 percent) and the highest deflation in Tual (2.30 percent).
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya (0.37 percent) and Sampit (0.31 percent) occurred. Both cities are ranked 17th and 23rd highest inflation at the national level.
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya was mainly influenced by the rise in the food price index (0.93 percent) and clothing (0.46 percent).
  • Inflation in Sampit was mainly influenced by the increase in the price index in the health group (1.37 percent) and foodstuff (0.93 percent).
  • Kalimantan Tengah province (combined Palangka Raya and Sampit) inflation of 0.35 percent, with calendar year inflation rate of 0.88 percent and year-on-year inflation rate of 2.31 percent.
  • The core component influences inflation in Palangka Raya (0.10 percent) and Sampit (0.16 percent).
