Abstract

Total export value fell 11.18 percent from US $ 141.44  million (November 2017) to US $ 125.63 million (December 2017).
  • Mineral fuel is still an export commodity valued at US $ 86.17 million, contributing 68.59 percent of total exports.
  • Japan is the largest export share country worth US $ 45.57 million, contributing 36.27 percent of total exports.
  • Exports worth US $ 22.22 million or 17.69 percent from total export is loaded through Kumai Port.
  • Cumulatively, total exports rose 85.72 percent from US $ 966.25 million (January-December 2016) to US $ 1,794.50 million (January-December 2017).
  • Total imports rose 41.04 percent from US $ 4.80 million  (November 2017) to US $ 6.77 million (December 2017). Cumulatively, total imports also increased 7.32 percent from US $ 63.84 million (January-December 2016) to U $ 68.51 million (January-December 2017).
  • Foreign trade balance is surplus worth US $ 118.86 million (December 2017) and US $ 1,725.99 million (January-December 2017).
