Abstract

Total export value fell 37.45 percent from US $ 214.30 million (January 2018) to US $ 134.04 million (February 2018).
  • Mineral fuel is still a prima donna export commodity (US $ 92.01 million), or 68.64 percent of total exports.
  • Japan is still the main country of export destinations (US $ 63.33 million), or 47.25 percent of  total exports.
  • Kumai becomes the main export port of export commodities (US $ 11.09 million), or 8.27 percent of total exports.
  • Cumulatively, the total export value fell 6.04 percent from US $ 370.74 million (January-February 2017) to US $ 348.34 million (January-February 2018.)
  • The total value of imports dropped sharply 89.61 percent from US $ 8.46 million (January 2018) to only US $ 0.88 million (February 2018). Cumulatively, the value also declined 31.85 percent from US $ 13.72 million (January-February 2017) to US $ 9.34 million (January-February 2018)
  • Foreign trade balance during February 2018, a surplus of US $ 133.16 million.
