Abstract

Total export value fell 6.94 percent from US $ 163.18 million  (March 2018) to US $ 151.85 million (April 2018).
  • Mineral fuel is still a primadona export commodity (US $ 116.04 million), contributing 76.42 percent of total exports.
  • Japan is a major export destination country (US $ 91.71) million), contributed 60.40 percent of total exports.
  • Sampit dominates the service of export commodity loads  (US $ 9.48 million), contributing 6.24 percent of total exports.
  • Cumulatively, the total export value fell 8.82 percent from US $ 727.52 million (from January to April 2017) to US $ 663.37 million  (January-April 2018).
  • There was a jump in import increase reaching 252.06 percent from US $ 15.08 million (March 2018) to U, S $ 53.09 million (April 2018). Cumulatively, there was an increase of 149.31 percent from US $ 31.09 million (January-April 2017) to US $ 77.51 million  (January-April 2018).
  • Foreign trade balance was a surplus of US $ 98.76 million (April 2018) and US $ 585.86 million (January-April 2018).
