Abstract

• During November 2016 Kota Sampit experienced inflation of 0.67 percent with a consumer price index of 125.36. The calendar year inflation rate is 1.15 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (November 2016 to November 2015) is 2.50 percent.

• Inflation in Kota Sampit during November occurred due to an increase in the price index on all expenditure groups except Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel Groups. The highest inflation occurred in the Foodstuffs Group at 1.25 percent.

• The commodities that have the highest contribution to the significant increase in price index in Sampit City during November 2016 are cayenne pepper, chicken meat, cars, t-shirts, and filter cigarettes. While the commodities that experienced a decline in the price index were selar / tude fish, gold jewelry, chicken eggs, potatoes, and zinc ,.
