Abstract

• During November 2017 Sampit City experienced an increase in general commodity prices (inflation) of 0.29 percent with a consumer price index of 130.37. The calendar year inflation rate (January - November 2017) is 2.66 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (November 2017 to November 2016) is 4.00 percent.

• Inflation in Kota Sampit during November occurred due to an increase in the price index of all expenditure groups. The highest inflation occurred in the Housing, Water, Electricity, gas and fuel group by 0.59 percent.

• The commodities that have the highest contribution to the significant increase of price index in Sampit City during November 2017 are chicken meat, balokan wood, orange, air transport, and wet shrimp. While commodities that experienced a significant price decline were selar / tude fish, brick, cork, sand, and tuna / ambu-ambu.
