Abstract

During April 2016 Sampit City deflation of 0.46 percent with the consumer price index amounted to 123.27. The inflation rate of calendar year amounted to -0.54 percent and the rate of inflation "year on year" (April 2016 to April 2015) of 4.43 percent.
Deflation in Sampit City during April due to decreased prices on four types of expenses, foodstuffs 0.67 percent; housing water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.28 percent; clothing group by 0.11 percent and the transport, communications and financial services by 1.59 percent. Meanwhile, other expenditure groups experienced price increases.
Commodities that have contributed most to the fall in prices in the Sampit City during April 2016 was gasoline, chicken, tuna / ambu-ambu, tilapia and catfish. While commodity price increases were quite sigfikan is onions, beans, mobile phones, motorcycles and fish lais.
