Abstract

During June 2019, Sampit City experienced inflation of 0.16 percent with the consumer price index of 140.93 (May 2019) to 141.16 (June 2019). The calendar year inflation rate is 1.51 percent and the inflation rate for "year on year" (June 2019 against June 2018) is 3.11 percent.

The city of Sampit is ranked 64th in the city of inflation at the national level. The highest inflation occurred in Menado (3.60 percent) and the highest deflation in Tanjung Pandan (0.41 percent). Inflation in Sampit was mainly influenced by the increase in the price index in the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group (0.93 percent) and transportation, communication and financial services (0.67 percent)
