Abstract

During January 2018,Sampit experienced an increase in commodity prices general (inflation) of 0.34 percent with the consumer price index of 139.53. Rate  Calendar year inflation is 0.34 percent and the inflation rate is "year on year" (January 2019 against January 2018) of 5.64 percent
  • Inflation in Sampit during January 2019 occurred due to an increase in the index  in five expenditure groups, respectively the Foodstuffs group by 2.21 percent, the Health Group by 0.21 percent, the Group on Prepared Foods, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco by 0.20 percent, the Clothing Group by 0.06 percent, as well as the Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel Group by 0.02 percent
  • Commodities that have the highest share of the increase in the price index significant in Sampit City during January 2019 consecutively was chicken meat, red onion, rice, tuna, and clams. Meanwhile, commodities that have the highest contribution to the decline in the price index that is significantly consecutive is air transportation, gasoline, apples, cassava and watermelons
  • Among the 9 CPI cities on the island of Borneo that calculated inflation in January 2019,  sequentially inflation occurs in Singkawang City at 1.19 percent, Tarakan City amounting to 0.96 percent, Banjarmasin City at 0.82 percent, Tanjung City (Tabalong) as big as  0.75 percent, Samarinda City 0.60 percent, Pontianak City 0.55 percent, City  Balikpapan at 0.50 percent, Palangkaraya at 0.46 percent, and Sampit City by 0.34 percent.
