Consumer Economy Conditions Quarter III- 2017 Increased

Abstract

ITK Kalimantan Tengah in quarter III-2017 amounted to 104.99, meaning that consumer economic conditions in quarter III-2017 increased compared to the previous quarter. The level of consumer optimism in quarter III-2017 was lower than the second quarter-2017. Seen from ITK III-2017 was lower than the second quarter-2017 (ITK value of 107.44).

The improvement in consumer economic condition in Q3 / 2017 was mainly driven by the influence of inflation on consumption (index value of 107.86), consumption level (index value of 103.56), and current income (index value 104.07).

The value of Kalimantan Tengah ITK in quarter IV-2017 is estimated at 106.04 meaning that consumer economic condition is expected to increase. The level of consumer optimism is estimated to be slightly higher than the third quarter-2017 (ITK value of 104.99).

The expected improvement in consumer economic conditions in the coming quarter is mainly triggered by rising household incomes (index value of 108.19) and purchase plan of durable goods (index value of 102.26).
