Abstract

Kalimantan Tengah ITK in the II-2018 quarter was 118.11, meaning that the economic condition of consumers in the second quarter of 2018 increased compared to the previous quarter. The level of consumer optimism in the second quarter of 2018 was higher than in the first quarter of 2018 (the value of ITK was 106.69).

The improvement in consumer economic conditions in the second quarter of 2014 was mainly driven by current income (index value of 126.86), level of consumption (index value of 120.97), and influence of inflation on consumption (index value of 108.38).

The value of Kalimantan Tengah ITK in the third quarter of 2018 is estimated at 106.66, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers are expected to increase. The level of consumer optimism is estimated to be lower than in the second quarter of 2018 (the value of the ITK is 118.11).

The estimated improvement in consumer economic conditions in the coming quarter was mainly triggered by increased household income (index value of 104.74) and purchase of durable goods (index value of 110.01).
