Abstract

ITK Kalimantan Tengah in the first quarter-2018 amounted to 106.69, meaning that consumer economic conditions in quarter I-2018 increased compared to the previous quarter. The level of consumer optimism in the first quarter of 2018 was higher than the fourth quarter-2017. It can be seen from ITK quarter I-2018 is higher than the fourth quarter-2017 (ITK value of 105.59).

The improvement in consumer economic condition in Q1 / 2018 was mainly driven by consumption level (index value of 108.38), inflationary effect on consumption (index value of 111.64), and current income (index value of 103.36).

The value of Kalimantan Tengah ITK in the second quarter of 2018 is estimated at 120.52 meaning that the consumer economic condition is expected to increase. The level of consumer optimism is predicted to be higher than the first quarter of 2018 (ITK score of 106.69).

The expected improvement in consumer economic conditions in the coming quarter is mainly triggered by rising household incomes (index value of 121.17) and purchase of durable goods (index value of 119.39).
