DEVELOPMENT OF CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION OF SAMPIT, MARCH 2017

• During March 2017 Sampit City experienced inflation of 0.92 percent with a consumer price index of 129.67. The calendar year inflation rate was 2.11 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" (March 2017 to March 2016) was 4.71 percent.

• The commodities that have the greatest contribution to the significant increase in price index in Sampit City during March 2017 are air transport, chicken meat, cayenne pepper, electricity tariff and kretek cigarettes. Meanwhile, commodities that experienced price decline were tuna / ambu-ambu, mobile phone pulse rate, selar / tude fish, children suit suits, and mackerel fish.
