December 2023: Palangka Raya experienced inflation of 0.31 percent and Sampit inflation was 0.27 percent

Abstract

  • In December 2023, combined inflation in the cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit will be 0.30 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.69. Of the 90 CPI cities, 85 cities experienced inflation, while 5 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Ternate at 1.64 percent with a CPI of 117.18 and the highest deflation occurred in Meulaboh at 0.67 percent with a CPI of 120.38.
  • The combined inflation in the cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit in December 2023 occurred due to an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.66 percent), transportation group (0.60 percent), personal care and other services group (0.38 percent), clothing and footwear group (0.21 percent), information, communication and financial services group (0.16 percent), equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group (0.15 percent), and recreation group, sports, and culture (0.08 percent).
  • Calendar year inflation and year-on-year inflation (December 2023 to December 2022) for the combined cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit is 2.64 percent.
  • Commodities that will contribute to inflation in December 2023 include purebred chicken meat, air transportation, tomatoes, gold jewelry, snakehead fish, tilapia, shallots, sugar, filtered clove cigarettes and rice.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation in December 2023 include household fuel, watermelon, long beans, pork, kale, cucumbers, solar , women's handbags, catfish and perfume.
