December 2022: Palangka Raya experienced inflation of 0.22 percent and Sampit experienced inflation of 0.28 percent

Abstract

In December 2022, the combined inflation for Palangka Raya and Sampit was 0.24 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.64. Of the 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Bandung at 2.04 percent with a CPI of 115.43 and the lowest was in Sorong at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 110.95.
  • The combined inflation for Palangka Raya and Sampit in December 2022 occurred due to an increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.93 percent), the personal care and other services group (0.43 percent), the health group (0.15 percent), the recreation, sports and culture group (0.06 percent), and the clothing and footwear group (0.01 percent).
  • Calendar year inflation (December 2022 to December 2021) and year-to-year inflation (December 2022 to December 2021) for the combined cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit were recorded at 6.32 percent.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation in December 2022 include rice, gold jewelry, filter clove cigarettes, purebred chicken eggs, snacks, tomatoes, snakehead fish, carrots, salted eggplant and cooking oil.
  • Commodities contributing to deflation in December 2022 include air transportation, long beans, tuna/ambu-ambu fish, household fuel, shallots, purebred chicken meat, tilapia, powder/liquid detergent soap, selar fish/tude fish , and ground coffee.
