Abstract

  • Out of the 82 national CPI monitoring cities, 68 cities experienced inflation and 14 cities experienced deflation. Highest inflation occurred in Singaraja at 1.80 percent, while deflation the highest occurring in Tual of 2.74 percent.
  • Palangka Raya and Sampit municipalities experienced their respective inflation,respectively by 0.11 percent and 0.29 percent. Both cities it is ranked 59th and 36th of inflation the highest at the national level.
  • Inflation in Kota Palangka Raya is mainly influenced by increase in price index in the health group (0.91 percent) as well as education, recreation, and sports (0.27 percent).
  • Inflation in Sampit City is mainly influenced by increases price index on the housing, water, electricity, gas,and fuel (0.59 percent) and transportation,communications, and financial services (0.45 percent).
  • Kalimantan Tengah Province (Combined Kota Palangka Raya) and Kota Sampit) there was an inflation of 0.18 percent with the rate of calendar year inflation of 2.51 percent and the rate year-on-year inflation of 3.83 percent.
  • The core component contributes to inflation of 0.04 percent in Kota Palangka Raya and 0.15 percent in Sampit City.
