Farmer Terms of Trade in May 2013

Abstract

In May 2013, the Central Kalimantan Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) was recorded at 98.06 or increased
by 0.02 percent compared to NTP April 2013. This is due to a decline in the price index
received by farmers by 0.13 percent less than the decline in the Index
paid farmers by 0.15 percent.
Viewed from 5 (five) subsectors, there are 3 (three) sub-sectors of Agriculture has increased NTP, that is
Food Crops sub-sector rose by 0.17 percent, Livestock subsector rose by 0.34 percent
and the fisheries sub-sector rose by 1.05 percent. While the sub-sector declined
is the subsector of Horticulture decreased by 0.81 percent and the sub-sector of Plantation Plantation
(TPR) fell by 0.28 percent.
In May 2013, the farmer's received price index (IT) fell by 0.13 percent compared with
IT in April 2013. The IT downturn is due to two subsectors experiencing IT downturn,
Horticulture subsector decreased by 0.99 percent and Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (TPR) fell
by 0.40 percent. While the sub-sector that experienced IT improvement is the Plant Subsector
Food rose by 0.17 percent and Livestock subsector rose by 0.30 percent and sub-sector
Fisheries rose by 0.86 percent.
The price index paid by farmers (IB) in May 2013 decreased by 0.17 percent compared to April
2013. This decrease is due to the decrease of IB in the five subsectors namely the Crop sub-sector
Foods fell by 0.17 percent, the Horticulture subsector fell by 0.18 percent, the sub-sector
Smallholder Plantation (TPR) fell by 0.12 percent, Livestock sub-sector decreased by
0.04 percent and the Fisheries Sub-sector decreased by 0.18 percent.
Changes in Household Consumption Index (KRT) reflects the Inflation / Deflation figures in the region
Rural. In May 2013 there was a decrease of 0.20 percent. This decrease is caused by
the decrease of three groups of household consumption ie Foodstuff category decreased by 0.45
percent, housing category decreased by 0.27 percent and Transportation & Communication group fell
by 0.03 percent. While the other four groups experienced an increase in the index of the group
So food rose by 0.43 percent, Sandang group rose by 0.05 percent, the group
Health rose by 0.11 percent Education, Recreation & Sports group rose by 0.23
percent.
 In May 2013, the National NTP was 104.95 percent or up 0.39 percent compared to April
2013. This is because the price index received by farmers rose by 0.38 percent whereas
The price index paid by farmers decreased by 0.01 percent.
