Inflation in Palangka Raya is 0.11 percent, while inflation in Sampit is also 0.11 percent

Abstract

  • In September 2023, the combined cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit will experience inflation 0.11 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.40. Of the 90 CPI cities, 73 cities experienced inflation, while 17 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 1.41 percent with a CPI of 121.63 and the highest deflation occurred in Manokwari at 1.70 percent with CPI amounting to 119.96.  
  • Combined inflation in the cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit in September 2023 happen because of ncrease in the price index in the food,drink supply/restaurants group (0.77 percent), recreation, sports and culture group (0.66 percent), education group (0.58 percent), information, communication, and  financial services group (0.27 percent), supplies, equipment and maintenance household routine group (0.18 percent), housing, water, electricity and fuel household group (0.03 percent), and clothing and footwear group (0.02 percent).
  • Calendar year inflation (September 2023 versus December 2022) for combined. The cities of Palangka Raya and Sampit were at 1.52 percent and year-to-year inflation year (September 2023 to September 2022) at 1.88 percent.
  • Commodities that will contribute to inflation in September 2023 include: rice, petrol, cucumbers, long beans, “nila” fish, ice, beans, “baung” fish, prepaid credit handphone, and solar.
  • Commodities that will contribute to deflation in September 2023 include: air transportation, purebred chicken meat, red onion, cooking oil, cayenne pepper, snakehead fish, "baung" fish, purebred chicken eggs, tomatoes and potatoes
