April 2023 inflation in Sampit was 0.08 percent with the Index Consumer Price (CPI) of 117.88

Abstract

In April 2023, Indonesia experienced inflation of 0.33 percent. Of the 90 CPI cities, 77 cities experienced inflation and 13 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura at 1.44 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Meulaboh by 0.70 percent. Sampit City is ranked 70th as an inflation city with inflation of 0.08 percent.
  • Inflation in Sampit City occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the price index for several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.09 percent); clothing and footwear group (0.40 percent); equipment, tools and household routine maintenance group (0.20 percent); information, communication and financial services group (0.01 percent); and the personal care and other services group (0.36 percent).
  • The April 2023 calendar year inflation rate was 0.77 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2023 against April 2022) was 4.18 percent.
  • Commodities contributing/contributing to inflation, namely: filter clove cigarettes, tomatoes, rice, kale, flotsam fish, gold jewelry, spinach, garlic, tilapia, and men's collarless t-shirts.
  • While commodities contributing/contributing to deflation, namely: bird's eye chilies, purebred chicken meat, shallots, catfish, air transportation, tuna/tude fish, snakehead fish, cooking oil, raw tofu, and long beans.
