Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in 2020 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at the current price reached 152.19 trillion rupiah and on a constant basis in 2010 it reached 98.96 trillion rupiah.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in 2020 contracted by 1.40 percent. From the production side, the category with the largest contraction was corporate services, which grew negatively by 13.74 percent. From the expenditure side, the biggest contraction occurred in the Export component, amounting to 7.23 percent.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in the fourth quarter of 2020 against the third quarter of 2020 (q-to-q) grew 2.91 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Information and Communication category, which grew by 22.32 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Component (PK-P) of 4.89 percent, followed by LNPRT Consumption Expenditure of 4.84 percent.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Tengah in quarter IV-2020 against quarter IV-2019 (y-on-y) contracted by 2.10 percent. From the production side, the category with the largest contraction was mining and quarrying which grew negatively by 29.59 percent. From the expenditure side, the largest contraction was driven by the PMTB component which grew -10.11 percent, followed by Household Consumption Expenditures (PK-RT) which grew -1.53 ​​percent and Exports which grew -0.67 percent.
  • The spatial structure of the Kalimantan economy in the fourth quarter of 2020 was still dominated by Kalimantan Timur Province by 47.79 percent. Kalimantan Tengah Province is in fourth place with a contribution of 12.47 percent.
