Abstract

Human development in Kalimantan Tengah continues to progress. In 2018, the Kalimantan Tengah Human Development Index (HDI) reached 70.42. This figure increased by 0.63 points or grew by 0.90 percent compared to 2017 and made the status of Kalimantan Tengah HDI in the "high" level.
  • Babies born in 2018 have hopes of living up to 69.64 years, 0.05 years longer than those born the previous year.
  • Children in Kalimantan Tengah who were 7 years old in 2018 had hopes of enjoying 12.55 years of education, 0.10 years longer than those of the same age in 2017.
  • The population aged 25 years and above has an average education for 8.37 years, 0.08 years longer than the previous year.
  • In 2018, the people of Kalimantan Tengah meet their needs with an average per capita expenditure of 10.93 million rupiah per year, an increase of 439 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year's expenditure.
