Abstract

Guests staying at star hotels during December 2018 amounted to 22,382 people, consisting of 22,000 people (domestic guests) and 382 people (foreign guests). In non-star hotels there are 69,785 people, consisting of 69,708 people (domestic guests) and 77 people (foreign guests)
  • Cumulatively, the number of star hotel guests rose 12.44 percent from 242,658 (January-December 2017) to 272,851 (January-December 2018). While the number of guests in non-star hotels dropped by 4.27 percent, from 766,042 (January-December 2017) to 733,324 (January-December 2018)
  • Star hotel room occupancy rates fell 9.70 points from 69.57 percent (November 2018) to 59.87 percent (December 2018). In contrast, non-star ROR hotels rose 6.01 points from 23.12 percent (November 2018) to 29.13 percent (December 2018) 
  • Average length of stay (RLTM) star hotels (1.60 days), longer compared to non-star hotels (1.31 days). Overall, star hotels are still the preference of overnight stays, both for domestic and foreign guests
