During May 2018, the Air Traffic Passenger Flow of Transportation, 8-times Higher Compared to Sea Transport

Abstract

The number of sea transport passengers increased by 69.08 percent from 12,239 (April 2018) to 20,694 people (May 2018)
  • The flow of goods traffic by sea rose 8.94 percent from 1.42 million tons (April 2018) to 1.55 million tons (May 2018). The increase occurred in the unloading volume of goods (119.02 percent)
  • Flight frequency fell 2.47 percent from 2,102 flights (April 2018) to 2,050 flights (May 2018)
  • The number of air transport passengers fell 17.54 percent from 189,999 people (April 2018) to 156,670 people (May 2018)
  • The flow of goods by air traffic is down 11.04 percent from 2,138 tons (April 2018) to 1,902 tons (May 2018). The decrease was derived from unloading volume of goods (21.81 percent)
  • Through seaports, passenger activity is dominated in Kumai (59.04 percent) and goods in Sampit (47.44 percent). While through the air port, dominated by Tjilik Riwut both passenger activity (51.76 percent) and  goods (54.29 percent)
