Abstract

The number of sea freight passengers fell by 10.40 percent from 14,447 people (January 2018) to 12,944 people (February 2018).
  • The flow of goods traffic through the sea was recorded at 1.22 million tons, up 11.77 percent compared to the previous month. The increase occurred in the volume of goods loading (23.88 percent).
  • Flight frequency down 5.02 percent from 1,994 flights (January 2018) to 1,894 flights (February 2018).
  • The number of air transport passengers fell 14.20 percent from 174,983 people (January 2018) to 150,133 people (February 2018).
  •  Air freight traffic was recorded at 1,624 tons, down 20.59 percent compared to the previous month. The decrease came from unloading volume of goods (18.97 percent) and loading goods (23.40 percent).
  • Through seaports, the activity of passengers is dominated in Kumai (62.19 percent) and goods in Sampit (47.94 percent). While through the air port, dominated by Tjilik Riwut both passenger activity (48.79 percent) and  goods (55.30 percent).
