Abstract

Out of 82 national CPI monitoring cities, 55 cities experienced inflation and 27 deflationary cities. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura (1.05 percent) and the highest deflation in Medan (0.96 percent)
  • Inflation occurred in Palangkaraya (0.04 percent) and Sampit (0.14 percent). Both cities are ranked 55th and 45th highest inflation at the national level
  • Inflation in Palangka Raya was mainly influenced by the rise in the price index in clothing (0.74 percent) and health (0.61 percent)
  • Inflation in Sampit was mainly influenced by the rise in the price index in education, recreation and sports (1.45 percent) and clothing (1.32 percent)
  • Kalimantan Tengah Province (Combined Palangka Raya and Sampit) inflation of 0.08 percent, with a calendar year inflation rate of 0.53 percent and year-on-year inflation rate of 2.55 percent
  • The core component also affects inflation in Palangka Raya (0.08 percent) and Sampit (0.25 percent)
