Abstract

Out of 82 national CPI monitoring cities, all cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Jayapura (2.28 percent) and the lowest in Sorong (0.18 percent).
Palangka Raya and Sampit City experienced inflation of 0.67 percent and 0.61 percent respectively. Both cities are ranked 43th and 49th of the highest inflation at the national level.
Inflation in Palangkara Raya was mainly influenced by the rise in the food price index (2.28 percent), clothing (1.22 percent), and transportation, communications and financial services (0.53 percent).
Inflation in Sampit City was mainly influenced by the rise in the food price index (1.85 percent), and finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco (0.33 percent)
Central Kalimantan Province (Combined Palangka Raya and Sampit), there was inflation of 0.65 percent with a calendar year inflation rate of 3.18 percent and year-on-year inflation rate of 3.18 percent.
The core component contributed to inflation of 0.12 percent in Palangka Raya and 0.06 percent in Sampit.
