Farmer Terms of Trade in December 2012

Abstract

In December 2012, the Central Kalimantan Farmers Exchange (NTP) recorded 98.66 or experienced
a decrease of 0.43 percent compared to November NTP 2012. This is due to the increase
The price index received by farmers by 0.04 percent is smaller than that of the Index
which paid farmers who rose by 0.47 percent.
 Viewed from 5 (five) subsectors, there are 2 (two) sub-sectors Agriculture has decreased NTP, that is
Crop Subsector fell by 0.21 percent and the Horticulture subsector decreased by 1.89
percent. While the sub-sector that experienced an increase is the estate crop sub-sector
People (TPR) rose by 0.27 percent, Livestock subsector rose by 0.04 percent and
fisheries subsector rose by 0.31 percent.
 In December 2012, the price index received by farmers (IT) rose by 0.04 percent compared
with IT November 2012. The IT upgrade is due to 4 (four) sub-sectors
experienced an increase in IT. Subsectors with IT improvements are the Crop Subsector
Food that rose by 0.23 percent, Subsector Plantation Plantation (TPR) rose by
0.81 percent, Livestock subsector rose by 0.44 percent and fisheries sub-sector rose by 0.62
percent. While the sub-sectors that have decreased IT are Horticultural Sub-sector down
by 1.37 percent.
 Price index paid by farmers (IB) December 2012 rose by 0.47 percent compared
November 2012. This increase is due to the increase of IB in the five subsectors namely
Food Crops sub-sector rose by 0.44 percent, Horticulture subsector rose by 0.54
percent, sub sector of Plantation (TPR), which rose by 0.54 percent, sub-sector
Livestock increased by 0.40 percent and Fisheries Subsector rose by 0.31 percent.
 Changes in Household Consumption Index (KRT) reflects the Inflation / Deflation figures in the region
Rural. In December 2012 there was an increase of 0.53 percent. This increase is due
by the increasing of all groups of household consumption ie Foodstuff category rose
by 0.71 percent, So Food group rose by 0.18 percent, housing group rose
by 0.42 percent, Sandang group rose by 0.46 percent, Health group rose by
0.39 percent, Education, Recreation & Sport group rose by 0.11 percent and the group
Transportation & Communication rose by 0.36 percent.
 In December 2012, the National NTP was 105.87 percent or up 0.14 percent compared to the month
November 2012. This is because the price index received by farmers rose by 0.52 percent
higher than the rise in the price index paid by farmers which rose by 0.38 percent.
