Farmer Terms of Trade in December 2011

Abstract

In December 2011, the Central Kalimantan Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) was 99.61 percent or up
0.07 percent compared to NTP November 2011. This is due to the rise in the price index
received by farmers by 0.54 percent higher with the increase in the price index paid
farmers by 0.47 percent.
Viewed from 5 (five) subsectors, there are 2 (three) subsectors Agriculture has increased NTP,
namely Horticulture subsector rose by 0.87 percent and Food Crops sub-sector rose
by 0.02 percent, while the Fisheries sub-sector decreased by 0.86 percent, sub-sector
Livestock fell 0.31 percent and Subsector Plantation (TPR) fell by
0.31 percent.
In December 2011, the price index received by farmers (IT) rose 0.54 percent compared
with IT November 2011. The IT upgrade was due to: Horticulture subsector
increased by 1.39 percent, Food Crops sub-sector rose 0.47 percent, Livestock subsector
up 0.19 percent and the People's Plantation (TPR) subsector rose by 0.18 percent,
on the contrary the fishery subsector fell by 0.50 percent.
Price Index paid by farmers (IB) In December rose 0.47 percent compared to November
2011, this increase is due to the increase of IB in 5 subsectors, namely the sub-sector
Horticulture was up 0.51 percent, the People's Plantation (TPR) subsector rose 0.49 percent,
Livestock subsector rose by 0.50 percent, Food Crops subsector rose 0.45 percent and
Fisheries subsector rose by 0.36 percent.
Changes in Household consumption index (KRT) reflects the rate of Inflation / Deflation at
Rural areas. In December 2011 there was inflation of 0.55 percent. This increase
caused by the Foodstuffs group rose by 0.93 percent of the Education group,
Recreation & Sports rose 0.47 percent, Health group rose 0.35 percent, the group
Housing rose 0.21 percent and the Transportation & Communications group rose by 0.02 percent,
on the contrary the Foods So category was down 0.07 percent and the Sandang group was down 0.04 percent.
In December 2011, the national NTP was 105.75 percent or up 0.11 percent compared to the month
November 2011. This is because the price index received by farmers rose 0.44 percent,
greater than the increase in price paid by farmers by 0.33
