Farmer Terms of Trade in June 2012

Abstract

In June 2012, the Central Kalimantan Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) was 99.26 percent or 0.32 down
percent compared to NTP in May 2012. This is due to the rise in the price index received
farmers rose by 0.01 percent less than the increase in the price index paid by farmers ie
by 0.32 percent.
Viewed from 5 (five) subsectors, there are 4 (four) sub-sectors Agriculture has decreased NTP,
namely the Food Crops sub-sector decreased by 0.43 percent, plantation sub-sector
People (TPR) fell by 1.38 percent, Livestock subsector fell 0.18 percent and Subsector
Fisheries fell by 0.52. While sub-sectors that have increased is
The Hortikulrura subsector rose by 0.85 percent.
In June 2012, the price index received by farmers (IT) rose by 0.01 percent compared
with IT in May 2012. The IT upgrade is due to only 2 (two) subsectors
experienced an increase in IT. Subsectors with IT improvements are Subsectors
Horticulture which rose by 1.07 percent and Livestock Subsector rose by 0.17
percent. While the Food Crop Subsector fell by 0.07 percent, the Crop Subsector
People's Plantation (TPR) fell by 1.02 percent and the Fisheries Subsector decreased by
0.36 percent.
The price index paid by farmers (IB) In June 2012 rose by 0.32 percent compared to May
2012. This increase is due to the increase of IB in the 5 subsectors of the Crop sub-sector
Food rose 0.36 percent, Horticulture subsector rose 0.22 percent, plantation estate subsector
People (TPR) rose 0.37 percent, Livestock subsector rose by 0.35 percent and sub-sector
Fisheries rose by 0.16 percent.
Changes in Household Consumption Index (KRT) reflects the Inflation / Deflation figures in the region
Rural. In June 2012 there was an increase of 0.40 percent. This increase is caused by
the Food Group's 0.28 percent rise, the Soup Food group rose 1.52 percent,
Sandang group rose 0.09 percent and Education, Recreation & Sports group increased by
0.26 percent. While the Housing group fell 0.27 percent, the Health group fell 0.17
percent and the Transportation & Communications group fell by 0.16 percent.
In June 2012, the National NTP was 104.88 percent or up 0.11 percent compared to the month
May 2012. This is because the price index received by farmers rose 0.62 percent,
while the price paid by farmers rose by 0.51 percent.
