October 2023 Inflation in Sampit City was 0.48 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 119.45

Abstract

In October 2023 in Indonesia there will be inflation of 0.17 percent. Of the 90 CPI cities, 69 cities experienced inflation and 21 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Gorontalo at 1.00 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in Tual at 1.08 percent. Sampit City is ranked 11th in inflation cities with inflation of 0.48 percent.
  • Inflation in Sampit City occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the price index in several expenditure groups, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group (0.95 percent); clothing and footwear group (0.04 percent); housing, water, electricity and household fuel group (0.03 percent); equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group (0.29 percent); health group (0.17 percent); transportation group (0.76 percent); recreation, sports and culture group (1.01 percent); and personal care and other services group (0.02 percent).
  • The inflation rate for the calendar year October 2023 is 2.11 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (October 2023 to October 2022) is 2.48 percent.
  • Commodities that contribute/contribute to inflation are: purebred chicken meat, rice, petrol, cayenne pepper, tilapia, trevally/tude fish, cucumber, rimbang/tekokak, granulated sugar and pomfret.
  • Meanwhile, commodities that contributed/contributed to deflation were: eggplant, purebred chicken eggs, garlic, shallots, tuna/ambu-ambu fish, wet shrimp, watermelon, bottled water, flying fish/snailfish, and tomatoes.
