Abstract

Inflation in Sampit City occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the price index for several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.48 percent); group, housing air, electricity, and household fuel (0.01 percent); equipment, tools, and household routine maintenance group (0.09 percent); health group (0.15 percent); and the personal care and other services group (0.56 percent).
  • The January 2023 calendar year inflation rate is 0.11 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2023 to January 2022) is 5.50 percent.
  • Commodities contributing/contributing to inflation, namely: filter clove cigarettes, tuna/ambu ambu fish, rice, purebred chicken meat, gold jewelry, clove cigarettes, air transportation, long beans, wet shrimp, and cooking oil.
  • Meanwhile, commodities that contribute/contribute to deflation are: gasoline, kale, snakehead fish, catfish, flotsam fish, baung fish, purebred chicken eggs, garlic, spinach and eggplant.
