Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (FTT) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers to the price index paid by farmers.
  • FT is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • Kalimantan Tengah's combined FTT in November 2022 rose by 1.14 percent compared to October 2022, namely from 115.56 to 116.88. This increase was caused by an increase in the exchange rate in several sub-sectors, namely the smallholder plantation sub-sector (2.17 percent), the food crops sub-sector (0.22 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (0.07 percent). Meanwhile, the horticulture sub-sector and livestock sub-sector experienced a decline in exchange rates, respectively by 2.65 percent and 0.39 percent.
  • In November 2022 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (HCI) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.52 percent which was mainly due to an increase in the price index for the food, beverage and tobacco group (0.73 percent), personal care and other services (0.39 percent). percent), the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group (0.35 percent) and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group (0.29 percent).
  • Similar to the FTT, the Kalimantan Tengah Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate in November 2022 also increased by 1.51 percent, from 114.61 (October 2022) to 116.34 (November 2022).
