Abstract

Kalimantan Tengah's NTP rose 0.11 points, from 96.45 percent (April 2019) to 96.56 percent (May 2019). This was influenced by the increase in the exchange rate of the smallholder plantation subsector (0.72 points), fisheries (0.69 points), livestock (0.09 points), and horticulture (0.01 points).
  • The price index received by farmers (It) rose 1.16 points, higher than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which amounted to 1.05 points.
  • The highest FTT occurred in the fisheries sub-sector (110.72 percent) followed by horticulture (104.08 percent), livestock (102.91 percent), food crops (93.41 percent), and smallholder crops (90.06 percent).
  • The Agricultural Household Exchange Rate (NTUP) rose 0.47 points, from 104.49 percent (April 2019) to 104.96 percent (May 2019).
  • The Household Consumption Index (SCE) in rural areas is 136.66 percent or inflation of 0.88 percent, followed by the inflation rate of the calendar year (2.18 percent) and the year-on-year inflation rate (3.73 percent) is relatively low. The increase in the price index occurs in all expenditure groups, except transportation and communication.
