Abstract

The total export value rose 28.56 percent from US $ 156.35 million (July 2018) to US $ 201.01 million (August 2018).
  • Mineral fuels are still a prime export commodity (US $ 77.29 million), contributing 38.45 percent of total exports.
  • India is the main trading partner for export destinations (US $ 55.31 million), contributing 27.52 percent of total exports.
  • Port Kumai dominates the Kalimantan Tengah export commodity services (US $ 57.55 million), contributing 28.63 percent of total exports.
  • Cumulatively, total export value rose 2.80 percent from US $ 1,253.63 million (January-August 2017) to US $ 1,288.74 million (January-August 2018).
  • The total import value fell 58.09 percent from US $ 28.32 million (July 2018) to US $ 11.87 million (August 2018). However, cumulatively, it still rose 299.29 percent from US $ 43.56 million (January-August 2017) to US $ 173.93 million (January-August 2018).
  • The foreign trade balance has a surplus of US $ 189.14 million (August 2018) and US $ 1,114.81 million (January-August 2018).
