During May 2018, NTP of 96.50 Percent and Inflation Occurs 0.59 Percent in Rural Areas

Abstract

 Farmer Terms of Trade / NTP of Kalimantan Tengah Province dropped 0.27 points from 96.77 percent (April 2018) to 96.50 percent (May 2018). This is influenced by the decline in the exchange rate of food crops sub-sector (3.50 points), fisheries (1.09 points), and smallholder plantation (0.27 points).
  • The price index received by farmers (It) rose 0.30 points, lower than the increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.66 points.
  • The highest NTP occurred in the fisheries sub-sector (107.58 percent), while the lowest NTP in the plantation crops sub-sector (90.90 percent).
  • Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) rose 0.07 point from 104.66 percent (April 2018) to 104.73 percent (May 2018).
  • Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in rural areas of 131.75 percent or inflation of 0.59 percent. An increase in the price index occurs in all household expenditure groups.
