July 2017, export was US$ 140.55 million and import was US$ 2.67 million

Abstract

During July 2017, total exports were valued at US $ 140.55 million, up US $ 14.23 million or 11.26 percent compared to the previous month.
- The largest contribution to export trade comes from mineral fuel worth US $ 72.07 million or 51.28 percent of the total export value.
- Japan is the main export destination for US $ 49.35 million or 40.0235.11 percent of the total export value.
- Kumai port plays a role of US $ 25.59 million or 20.26 percent of the total export value.

During January-July 2017, total exports amounted to US $ 1,136.93 million, up US $ 603.38 million or 113.09 percent compared to the same period in 2016.

The total import value during July 2017 was recorded at US $ 2.67 million, up US $ 0.44 million or 19.75 percent compared to the previous month.

The trade balance with major trading partner countries experienced a surplus of US $ 137.88 million during July 2017 and US $ 1,095.94 million during January-July 2017.
