Farmer Terms of Trade in July 2011

Abstract

In July 2011, the Central Kalimantan Farmers Exchange Rate (NTP) was recorded at 100.54 percent or decreased
0.70 percent compared to NTP June 2011. This is due to the rise in the price index
paid farmers rose by 0.23 percent, while the price index received by farmers fell
of 0.47 percent.
Viewed from 5 (five) subsectors, all sub-sectors of Agriculture decreased NTP, that is
Food Crops subsector decreased by 0.41 percent, Horticulture subsector decreased by
0.55 percent, Subsector of Smallholder Estate (TPR) fell 2.00 percent, Livestock subsector fell
0.31 percent, and fisheries subsector fell by 0.18 percent.
In July 2011, the price index received by farmers (IT) fell 0.47 percent compared with IT
June 2011. The decline in IT in 4 subsectors is due to: Plant Crops sub-sector
Foods fell 0.19 percent, Subsector of Smallholders (TPR) fell by 1.14 percent,
Livestock subsector fell by 0.02 percent. Fisheries subsector fell by 0.04 percent,
while the Hotikultura subsector rose by 0.15 percent.
The price index paid by farmers (IB) in July rose 0.23 percent compared to June 2011,
this increase is due to IB on 5 subsectors all experienced an increase, ie subsector
Food Crops rose 0.22 percent, Horticulture subsector rose 0.15 percent, Crop sub-sector
People's Plantation (TPR) rose 0.36 percent, Livestock subsector rose by 0.29 percent, and
Fisheries subsector rose by 0.14 percent.
Changes in Household consumption index (KRT) reflects the rate of Inflation / Deflation at
Rural areas. In July 2011 there was an increase of 0.26 percent. The increase is due
because all groups experienced an increase that is the Foodstuff category rose by 0.07
percent, So Food category rose 0.81 percent, Housing group rose 0.286 percent,
Sandang group rose 0.14 percent, Health group rose 0.47 percent, the group
Education, Recreation & Sports rose 0.91 percent, while the Transportation &
Communication fell by 0.22 percent,
 In July 2011, the National NTP was 104.87 percent or up 0.07 percent compared to June
2011. This is because the price index received by farmers rose 0.61 percent, larger
the increase compared to the price increase paid by farmers by 0.54 percent.
