FGD (Focus Group Discussion) Discussion of Kotawaringin Timur Regency in Figures Publication is a series of Statistics Information Provision and Service Programs (PPIS) conducted by the Statistics of Kotawaringin Timur Regency in order to improve the service and quality of published publications. Whereas, the need for data is becoming increasingly important, as expressed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, where BPS is one of the agencies appointed to carry out these activities.
The use of government data is not limited to internal use between agencies, but also as a form of meeting the needs of public data for the community or better known as Public Information Openness. Data collected by government agencies is expected to be available in an open and easy to use format, with the aim of increasing transparency and accountability, and to increase community participation in safeguarding development.
Especially within the framework of the National Statistics System, Sectoral Statistics plays an important role. The data produced or managed by SOPD will be able to give more meaning to development if it can be compiled by administrative products into one information that speaks, which is as useful as possible to support national development and especially regional development towards the Great Kotim.
FGD was officially opened by Mr. Imam Subekti as Regent III Assistant. Furthermore, 2 speakers gave their presentation, namely Mr. Ramadhansyah (Acting Head of Kotim Regency Bappeda) and Mrs. Maria Wahyu Utami (Head of the Central Kalimantan Provincial BPS Office).
The data recording program was no less exciting, each participant who was a representative of the agency / agency actively participated in explaining the phenomenon of their sectoral data especially regarding the last 3 years series.
Hopefully with quality data, the development in Kotim Regency can be more rapid and sustainable ...
